Vinous Josh Raynolds - 01 Feb 19
(fermented with both de-stemmed and whole cluster fruit; aged for 16 months in 50% French and 50% American oak barriques, all new) Lurid violet color. High-pitched red/blue fruit, floral pastille, spicecake, coconut and allspice aromas, along with a smoky mineral quality that emerges with aeration. Sweet, nervy and seamless in texture, offering juicy, spice-accented raspberry, blueberry and mocha flavors that deepen and fan out on the back half. Shows excellent clarity and repeating florality on a very long, spicy finish that's given shape by supple, even tannins.
